Poetry In the Streets
"Poetry in the Streets" is the first contest from the Western Colorado Writers Forum, funded by a Grand Junction Commission on Arts & Culture grant. One portion of the event was held in Downtown Grand Junction and sponsored by the Downtown Development Authority. Seven poems in a variety of styles were chosen among a pool of local and National poets and placed in locations around Downtown Grand Junction on newspaper racks and pedestals.
